The barriers to interpersonal communication
1. Bypassing causes miscommunication because people have different meaning for the word they use .We depend almost totally on words to exchange ideas. Each of us bundles meaning to word that are not always similar. Bypassing happens when interpret each other’s meaning differently.
2. Frame of reference everything we see and feel in this world is depended on frame of reference. Frame of reference is formed by the combination of experience, education culture and personality.
3. Lack of Language Skill communicator should have adequate vocabulary, command of basic punctuation, grammar, written and oral expression.
4. Lack of Listening Skill
5. Emotional Interference communication suffers when emotion cloud the mind. Shaping an intelligent message when you are emotionally disturb .Both sender and receiver should focus on the message and try to remain objective.
6. Physical Distraction noisy surrounding, faulty acoustics ,typo errors, poor printing ,sloppy appearance etc.
